Episode 1: "Game Over?"
Plot Summary:
In the ordinary world, Yuji Haruto, a 28-year-old office worker, is exhausted by his monotonous life, which revolves around work, sleep, and playing video games. One day, after a long gaming session, he passes out and wakes up to find himself trapped inside his least favorite dating sim, "Romantic Kingdom." Worse yet, he's not the protagonist—he's a lowly background character named Leon who has no influence in the game's plot.
Confused and frustrated, Yuji quickly realizes that the game’s world operates under bizarre rules designed to favor the main characters, especially the arrogant, wealthy elites. Knowing the game's mechanics, he decides to use his knowledge to survive and navigate this twisted world. However, Yuji’s cynical nature makes him a reluctant participant in the courtly intrigues and romantic entanglements that surround him.
As Leon, he initially tries to avoid the main storyline, but his sharp wit and sarcastic attitude inadvertently draw the attention of key characters, including the beautiful but cold-hearted heroine, Angelica, and the game’s powerful male leads. Unbeknownst to him, his every move is altering the game’s narrative, leading to unexpected consequences.
Will Yuji find a way out of this virtual nightmare, or will he be stuck playing along in a game where the odds are stacked against him?
